Feedback opportunities for people who have used our service

Improving clients’ experiences of our service is a high priority. For this reason we provide Patient Experience Questionnaires after assessment and upon completion of treatment to everyone who uses our service. These questionnaires include a few questions about your experience and free text boxes for you to include your own thoughts and comments about your time with IAPT Lewisham.

What can I do if l am dissatisfied with the service I am receiving?

We would encourage you to speak to your practitioner directly about any concerns that you may have, as she or he will very much want to hear about what your feelings are and try to deal with any problems. If you are not happy with the response from your therapist, you can ask to speak to the team leader.

If you put a complaint in writing, then it will be treated as a formal complaint and responded to through the complaints procedures of the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust or of your GP practice. However, we prefer to try to sort out any or concerns or complaints informally wherever possible. Lewisham Patient Advice and Liaison (PALS)

The Patient Advice and Liaison Service is a department of the Trust that works to resolve problems that clients may be having with services (and vice versa) and to provide an accessible source of information about the organisation and mental health care generally.
