As an Improving Access to Psychological Therapy (IAPT) service, we offer a range of options within a stepped care model.
The first step is to take one of the treatment options after initial consultation. These teach principles and strategies of psychological therapy, which can then be applied in everyday life to make the changes you want to make. Treatment options after initial consultation include online courses, workshops and groups.
Progress is reviewed at the end of this stage, and for some people a treatment option after initial consultation may have been sufficient to help them to reach their goals. For other people, sometimes a follow-on treatment option is recommended to build on the work done so far. Follow-on treatment options usually involve one-to-one sessions with a therapist or psychological well-being practitioner.
After therapy: to help you revise, refresh and continue to use what you learn in therapy we offer follow-up workshops.
