As an Improving Access to Psychological Therapy (IAPT) service, we offer a range of options within a stepped care model.
The first step is to take one of the foundation options. These teach principles and strategies of psychological therapy, which can then be applied in everyday life to make the changes you want to make. Foundation options include online courses, workshops and groups.
Progress is reviewed at the end of the foundation stage, and for some people a foundation option may have been sufficient to help them to reach their goals. For other people, sometimes a follow-on option is recommended to build on the work done so far. Follow-on options usually involve one-to-one sessions with a therapist or psychological well-being practitioner.
After therapy: to help you revise, refresh and continue to use what you learn in therapy we offer follow-up workshops.
