Follow-on options

Follow-on options are recommended if a more specific one-to-one therapy is needed to address particular types of symptoms or when more individual support is needed to use the strategies learnt in the foundation stage.

If a follow-on therapy is advised, your therapist will explain the different options so you can decide which is likely to be the best fit.

For PTSD we would recommend trauma-focused Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) or EMDR.

Other anxiety-related problems generally respond best to Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), whereas depression responds well to a variety of different approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)Counselling, Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT), and Couples therapy.
